Reality dance show ‘Maanada Mayilada’ proved to be her ticket to fame. Post winning the third edition of the popular show on Kalaignar TV, offers for roles in South Indian cinema kept pouring in for Aishwarya Rajesh. However, the granddaughter of Amarnath made her debut in the 2011 film ‘Avargalum Ivargalum,’ in which she played one of the lead roles.

The journey in the film industry has so far been smooth for this young actress. “I’m acting in movies because I enjoy what I’m doing. I’m fortunate enough to be able to experiment with various roles,” Aishwarya says.

She made an appearance in the 2012 cult film, ‘Attakathi,’ as Amudha. She also acted in ‘Aachariyangal’ and ‘Puthagam,’ in which she was paired opposite Sanjay Bharathi. In 2014, she was seen alongside Vijay Sethupathi in two films, ‘Rummy,’ and ‘Pannaiyarum Padminiyum,’ released within two weeks of each other. Her latest movie, ‘Kaaka Muttai,’ released earlier this year, continues to receive critical acclaim. “If the script and the character that I’m going to play in the film are impressive, I accept the film,” she says.

Aishwarya is all determined to continue experimenting with her roles. Expect her in the role of a journalist soon!

Taking a break from the world of glitz and glamour, Aishwarya was in Coimbatore city today to inaugurate the first edition of Meena Bazaar at Hotel Residency. An initiative of the Rajasthan Cosmos Club Foundation (RCCF), Meena Bazaar is an exhibition and sale of lifestyle products. This two-day expo has brought together about 65 vendors from across India. The entire proceeds of this expo will be used to support the various projects of RCCF.

This is not the first time that Aishwarya is supporting a noble cause. In the past she had supported a cancer awareness rally in Chennai. She had also participated in one of the editions of Meena Bazaar in Chennai. Also on her list of things-to-do is a project for the children who live in slums. “I want to support their education and improve the hygiene levels of their surroundings,” she says and signs off.
