Coimbatore: A nineteen-year-old second year nursing student committed suicide by consuming eucalyptus in her hostel room near Coimbatore.

Sharmila, the student hailing from Mayiladuthurai, was doing her Second Year B.Sc. in a
private nursing college in Madkkarai. She was found lying in front of her room, with foam coming out of her mouth late last night.

After first aid in a private hospital, she was rushed to the Coimbatore Government Hospital. She died without responding to treatment. It is believed that Sharmila was upset after a recent fight with some of her classmates.
