With dreams of making it big in the IT field, a 17-year-old boy got admission at B.S Abdur Rahman University to pursue an integrated M. Tech and PhD programme.

Mohamed Suhail, the MCA prodigy who is now pursuing his dual degrees at B.S. Abdur Rahman University after he cleared a series of interviews and discussions
with the HoDs of different departments and the varsity’s top honchos. The happiest person was his grandpa, H. Saleem, the man behind his success.

In an interview with Covai Post, Suhail said that he is indebted to B.S. Abdur Rahman University for offering him the integrated course free of cost, including hostel facility.The University Vice Chancellor has given him permission to use all the facilities besides
the help of the talented faculty members during his course. “I felt like I was flying high in the air when the university announced that I was selected for the Integrated M. Tech and PhD programme which I have decided to complete within three years. The actual course duration is five years. All credit goes to my grandpa, who was on his toes straining his nerves to make my dream come true,” Suhail said.

Grandpa Saleem said that Suhail was dropped from Carmel Garden Matriculation School, Puliyakulam, on some flimsy grounds when he was in Class IX. Suhail had his revenge when the school management felicitated him when he got admitted to MCA course at Bharathiar University.

It was Dr Subbaraman, Director of Bharathiar University School of Distance Education, who, after assessing his knowledge and contribution in both software and hardware peripherals through an expert panel, allowed Suhail to continue his PG course in computer applications. The Bharathiar University Syndicate gave its nod for Suhail’s PG course following his extraordinary talent in computers.

Mohamed Suhail is also the world’s youngest to complete Microsoft certifications, MCTS and MCPD, which fetched him his desired course besides the PhD programme.
