Kochi: A total of 107 persons were killed in political violence in Kerala during the last one decade ending 2017. According to Crime Records Bureau data , 50 of those belong to CPM, 42 belong to BJP , 5 Congress, 5 Muslim league, 3 NDF and one each of CPI and JDU.
In 2016, 96 political murders took place in the country where Kerala stood third with 12 deaths. UP topped the list with 28 murders and Jharkhand 15.
Last year 15 political murders were reported in Kerala, out of which six were from CPM, 5 from BJP and two each from Congress and Muslim league.
In the year 2017, four persons were killed of which all of them belonged to BJP.
