12-year-old dies while sliding in park

A 12-year old girl died, reportedly due to breathlessness, after her dupatta got tightened around her neck when she was playing in a slide in a park in the city.
Akshaya, a seventh standard student had gone to play in the park near her house in Vadavalli last evening.
As she did not return even after long time, her mother, Sivakamasundari went searching for her. She found Akshaya hanging on dupatta, the end of which was stuck in an iron rod attached to the slide, police said.
