Guns, mortars, and machine guns are among the weapons used by the India Army, on display during a two-day expo that begins on August 10, in Coimbatore.
The expo is being organised as part of the Independence Day celebrations, by the Indian Army under their ‘Know Your Army’ outreach, with an objective to share, with the Indian industry, information about current and future technology, and product demand, and seek the industry’s response.
The equipment on display include guns and mortars, machine guns, small arms, security equipment, and communication equipment.
Deputy Chief of Army, Lt. Gen. Subrata Saha, will inaugurate the exhibition, being organised in association with the local chapter of CII and Young Indians. Saha will interact with the industry members, faculty, and students from engineering colleges, on the requirements of the Army, and the areas of improvement in the displayed equipment, and seek their inputs.
The interaction and expo will enable the participants to understand the future product and technology requirements of the Indian Army.
