200 patients get free examinations at eye camp

The Aravind Eye Hospital in association with Shriram Properties and the Coimbatore District Blind Eradication Society organised a free eye camp at Shriram Shreshta, Off L&T Bypass Road, Madukkarai Market, Coimbatore.

About 200 people, in all age groups, including patients with diabetes and retinal diseases were examined by the eye specialist from the Aravind Eye Hospital. Fifteen people, who need cataract surgery, will be operated on, free of cost at the hospital.

“The aim of the camp was to provide the best eye care for the public. Early detection will avoid complications and save eyesight. It was a good camp, where we added value for needy people,” a press release released from hospital said.
