Kochi: BJP chief Amit Shah on Tuesday sought a reply from Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan of the CPM about the death of 13 BJP men in the state after his Left Democratic Front Government came to power. Kannur is the epicenter of violence and it is represented by Vijayan, he said while flagging off the Janaraksha Yatra at Payyannur.

It is for this reason that the yatra is being taken out from Kannur. The BJP will convince all in the state the harm the Left has caused through violence, he said. The party will organise marches and dharnas in the national capital and state capitals against CPM violence.

A large number of MLAs and MPs from Haryana are taking part in the rally. He said leaders from different states will take part in the rally each day. State party chief Kummanam Rajashekharan, actor-turned-politician Suresh Gopi and media promoter Rajiv Chandrashekharan were present at the function.Earlier, Shah offered prayers at Sri Raja Rajeshwari temple.
