Automan alleges kerosene in drinking water

A resident of Sudakkamuthur walked into the Collectorate with cans of water alleging that the corporation drinking water that was supplied in his area was tasting like kerosene Murugan, an auto driver from IOB colony,Sundakamuthur complained that the water that was distributed to ten houses in his locality on Tuesday was contaminated with kerosene.

“There are around 50 families in the area but only ten houses had this issue,” he said.

He added that this had happened despite the absence of an oil tank in the neighbourhood.

“We receive water for five days in a week. Such contamination in the water will only ruin our health ” , he said
On the issue, an official said that the district administration can comment only after an investigation is carried out.
