Coimbatore: Avinashilingam Institute for Home and Higher Education for Women, Deemed-to-be-University, here has been accredited with ‘A+’ Grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
The fourth cycle of reaccreditation was with an Institutional CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) of 3.49 (on a 4 point scale), by NAAC an autonomous institution of UGC, catering to quality assurance in Higher Education Institutions.
The ‘A+’ Grade is valid for 5 years from 2019 to 2024, a university release said Wednesday.
The assessment was done on seven criteria such as Curricular aspects, Teaching-Learning and Evaluation, Research, Innovation and Extension Infrastructure and Learning Resources, Student Support and Progression Governance, Leadership and Management and Institutional Values and Best Practices.
The institute has progressed from its 3rd cycle of re-accreditation in the year 2013 to 4th cycle in the year 2019 from ‘A’ Grade with a score of 3.01, to A+ Grade with a score of 3.49 respectively, it said.
