Expressing his appreciation for Tirupur’s success in implementing the ZLD, Farook Hassan, head of the delegation and chairman of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters’ Association, said that his government has sought the help of US-based Institute for Industrial Policy to come up with a similar plan for Bangladesh.
While speaking to the members of the Tirupur Exporters’ Association (TEA), he said that Bangladesh and India can work together to complement each other in the area of garment exports. He has also extended an invitation to exporters from Tirupur to visit Bangladesh to explore trade possibilities.
