The body of a 35-year old person, washed away in the flash floods on the city outskirts, was retrieved from a bush today.
The heavy rain that lashed the city and suburbs in the evening resulted in inundating low-lying areas.
The youth Gopinath was returning home on his two-wheeler after duty in a gas agency when he was washed away while crossing a bridge.
Though his vehicle was found some 200 ft from the spot, the search for him continued, police said. On Saturday morning, his body was found stuck in a bushy area and handed over to relatives, police said.
