Celebrating Krishna Jayanthi for a cause

Every year as part of Krishna Jayanti celebrations, Brookefields Mall organizes Chutti Krishna fancy dress competition for kids. This is the fifth year in succession that the competition was conducted by the Mall.

This year giving the competition a nice twist was the theme. The kids were given 30 seconds time to convey their message on topics like “Avoid Plastics” , “Creation of a Green City Clean City” , “Service to the Society” and “Planting Saplings.

The Mall that normally has people shopping till they drop, was packed to its capacity with families who had come to cheer their little ones dressed as Lord Krishna.

Padmini Prakash, newsreader, Lotus channel who is India’s first transgender newsreader, Jaishree Santhosh, CEO and Secretary of VLB college and A.L Shobhaa , Correspondant , Anugraha Mandir School were judges for this year’s Chutti Krishna contest. The participants were divided into two categories based on their age. The judges for the evening chose the best three kids in each category.

While some kids confidently displayed their skills on stage the others were too shy. All in all, the kids who look cute even otherwise, looked attractive in their colorful attire and make-up. Each participant received a Brookefields gift hamper and the winners went home with a cash prize and Brookefields gift hamper.
