Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Dr K Vijayakarthikeyan, author of ‘Once Upon an IAS Exam’ won ‘Most Inspiring Author’ at Gurgaon Literature Festival 2018, held in between November 24 and 26.

The book fair was attended by more than 5 lakh people.Kulpreet Yadav’s “Murder at Paharganj “ won the best book.

The three-day festival was a unique and one-of-a-kind literary festival that took place at Leisure Valley Park. It was aimed at uniting the best minds in literature, art, music and poetry and giving liberty to exercise freedom through various activities and events like engaging with one’s favourite author through audience interaction and panel discussions, workshops, book stalls and book reading sessions, poetry slams, book launches and performances by top Indian and international writers and artists.

Prominent people like the News 18 editor Ayushman Jamwal, author and motivational speaker Deepak Baja, author Vineet Bajpai and many other well-known personalities were present at the event.

‘Once Upon an IAS’ has all the ingredients to keep the audience captivated by the writing style which is very straight from the heart. It is witty, interesting, funny and emotional at the same time. The story is set in the bustling civil services exam coaching hub of Anna Nagar in Chennai. The book highlights the actuality, stress and struggle faced by millions of candidates who prepare year after year for one of the country’s toughest exams. He tries to overcome the uncertainty and confusion by convincing the girl he likes to marry.
