In order to take the entrepreneurial talents of the city to the outer world, entrepreneurs from Coimbatore should think globally, said Srinivasan K Swamy, Chairman of R.K. Swamy BBDO Private Limited, here on Wednesday.

Giving away the awards at the Brand Coimbatore Ambassador Awards in the city, Swamy also added that such thinking will also boost the growth of the city considerably.

“You need to create differently forgetting the constraints; collaborate with your competitors to create innovative products, and think out of the box,” he added.

He further said that Coimbatore needs to draw inspirations from cities like Seattle, Silicon Valley, Surat, and Taiwan that not only helped the growth of the state but the respective nations too. “You should start by preparing case studies of all the ambassador brands so that entrepreneurial city becomes more thriving,” Swamy said.

Lauding the winners of the awards, Swami also claimed that city was being built by service-minded entrepreneurs, who constitute Brand Coimbatore.

While Jewel One was awarded the Emerging Brand Award, and Sree Annapoorna won the Brand Coimbatore Ambassador Award, the Iconic Brand of Coimbatore Award was presented to ELGI Equipment.

The event was jointly organised by the Coimbatore chapter of the Indian Chamber of Commerce and Advertising Club, Coimbatore, and was presented by the PSG group of institutions.
