Coimbatore range duo win carrom competition

Two police personnel from the Coimbatore Range have won first place in the State level Carrom Board Competition for Ministerial Staff organized by the Tamil Nadu Police Department held in Thanjavur on Wednesday.
The state level Range Games meet was being held for the past three days starting from September 28. As many as 350 police personnel from the ministerial service participated in the various competitions including volleyball, shuttle cork and carrom that were held in the three days and 14 participants participated from the Coimbatore Range.

In the carrom board competitions, the duo of V.C. Ram Prathap, the office Superintendent at the office of the Tirupur SP Office and V.Sivakumar, the Office Superintendent of the Coimbatore Range DIG office won the doubles competition. The duo faced the Chennai City officers in the finals and were able edge them out.
Meanwhile, V. Sivakumar also became the runner up at the singles tournament as he lost to the player from Chennai City.

The prizes were distributed by the Central Zone Inspector General M. Ramasubramani and Thanjavur Superintendent T. Durairaj.
