Coimbatore students celebrate national unity day

The Directorate of Field Publicity in Coimbatore organised a one-day special awareness programme on Rashtriya Ekta Divas in coordination with Kendriya Vidyalaya in Sowripalayam. It was part of Sardar Vallabhai Patel’s birth anniversary.

The event was held on the school premises where a ‘run for unity’ was organised by the directorate. The rally by Kendriya Vidyalaya students was flagged off by Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police A Murugasamy.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Principal Savithri T Rajan spoke about the contributions of Sardar Patel who was instrumental in keeping India united. Directorate Assistant Director Kareena B Thengamam was also present on the occasion.
