As a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project, CRI Pumps recently organized several activities for students and staff of city-based schools at CMS Matriculation Higher Secondary School.
A quiz contest for students for rural areas, training camp for teachers on science congress and a book exhibition was also organised.
The Thulir Science Quiz was open to students from Grade 4 to 12, in which around 200 students participated. More than 500 teachers attended the science refresher camp which was jointly organised by the corporate house and Tamil Nadu Science Forum.
In his address to the students and teachers, T.S. Satheesh, vice-president- materials, CRI Pumps stressed the importance of extra-curricular activities. He advised the students to actively participate in such activities and urged the teachers to motivate the students to take part in sporting and literary activities.
The winners were presented with trophies at the function that was attended by Satheesh, Natarajan, president, National Science Forum, Haja Sheriff, principal, CMS Matriculation Higher Secondary School.
