Kottayam: The police custody of actor Dileep was on Friday extended for two more days. Police sought three more days custody, but the court granted two days ending at 5 pm on Saturday. He was produced before the magistrate court in Angamali after his two-day police custody ended today.

The prosecution said the actor was facing grave charges and evidence collection was yet to be completed. The mobile phone and the memory card were yet to be recovered.

While police said the actor was not co-operating in the probe, Dileep said the police did not ill treat him.

The defence lawyer claimed the case that Dileep had role in the conspiracy in abducting and harassing the actor was fabricated by police. He was being `crucified for the inefficiency of police’.

The verdict on the bail plea will be delivered on Saturday.
