Reacting to the video that went viral in which the DMK Treasurer M.K.Stalin was seen slapping an auto rickshaw driver who wished to click a selfie with him during his Namakku Namae campaign in the Nilgiris, Stalin said that the video was completely “morphed to malign his image”.

He told reporters here that the intention of the campaign is to meet with general public and not party men. “I had strictly instructed the party men to keep off from the public and not push them when they try to come close to me,”he said.

He added that during such instances, he tries to push away the party men and unintentionally, my hand may have pushed hard, he said justifying the slap. “My intention is not to hit anybody. That video was morphed by miscreants. Do I look like hitting others?” he snapped.

However, the concerned auto rickshaw driver was seen with Stalin in a picture taken in the hotel room where Stalin was staying during his visit. It may be noted that Stalin was previously involved in such an incident where he allegedly slapped a co passenger in the metro rail in Chennai
Reacting to the verbal attacks of Vaiko Stalin said that he does does not bother about the false allegations by vested interests.
