Flight diverted to Kochi due to poor visibility

A private airlines, scheduled to land in Coimbatore at 7.20 AM today was diverted to Kochi, due to heavy fog and poor visibility around the airport.
The plane, with 180 passengers, was from Chennai. it couldn’t land in Coimbatore due to poor visibility and the airport authorities directed the pilot to divert the flight to Kochi. The flight returned to Coimbatore at around 10 AM from Kochi, when the visibility improved.
The three-hour delay had put the passengers into lot of hardships.
