A two-day Children’s Day celebration took place at CMC Colony on Variety Hall Road, organised by the Dr Kalam Library and sponsored by The Arc Foundation India.

Corporation Commisioner K Vijayakarthikeyan today gave away prizes at his chamber to the winners of the drawing competition titled ‘My Kalam, My Tribute, My Creation’, held on day one.

Today’s celebration in the evening at the same venue had competitions and entertainment for kids with music, and shows featured on top channels like the magic performance by Vignesh Prabhu from Kovai TV and mimicry by Sound Sathesh from Zee Tamil.

Children took the Swachh Bharat pledge at the event.
