George flays Speaker for criticising him with ‘political mind’

Covai Post Network

The controversial Independent MLA from Poonar in Kerala, P.C. George, on Thursday wondered why people were biased while criticising those who speak out against women.

George was referring to Assembly Speaker P Sivaramakrishnan’s criticism against him for his remarks against the female actor who was abducted and attacked in a moving car in February.

“The allegation that I humiliated the actress is against the truth. When State Minister M.M. Mani made vulgar remarks against Pembillai Orumai members, the issue was discussed for a number of days. Similarly the person who is in jail now for attacking the actress in Kochi and another person who attacked another actress in 2011 have been the drivers of a CPM MLA. Many discussions were also held seeking his arrest. On all those occasions, the Speaker remained quiet. Now taking to the Facebook only to criticise me is something done with political mind,” George said on his Facebook post.
