HM beats up girls for using phone in class

Agitated parents on Wednesday gathered in front of the Ramnagar government higher secondary school to protest against the Head Mistress who allegedly beat up two girls using steel scale for reportedly using mobile phone in the classroom on Tuesday.

According to sources, two girls from the school were caught by the Principal Nirmala Devi for using mobile phones in the classroom. Nirmala Devi had allegedly beaten up both the students injuring their hands.

Agitated with this, parents and relatives of the students staged a demonstration in front of the school demanding
action against the teacher.

Education Officer for Corporation Schools R.Ravi, who visited the school, said that the HM shouldn’t have engaged in corporal punishment and promised.

However, what the students were doing with the mobile phone were not known as the mobile phones were switched off.
