Houses for encroachers: Do not get carried away by touts, Collector tells people

District Collector T.N. Hariharan has urged the public not to be carried away by touts who promise them of getting them allotment of tenements constructed by the Slum Clearance Board at Vellalore.
“The Board has built 2816 tenements at Vellalore through the JNNURM scheme. These houses are meant for encroachers of Aathupalam, Peelamedu, Anna Nagar, Najundapuram and Itteri areas. The Coimbatore Corporation has undertaken a survey to prepare a list of encroachers.
Some intermediary persons are trying to convince the people of getting them an tenement there. Public are advised not to believe such miscreants,” the Collector said in a press release.
