Idea 4G services for Chennai, Coimbatore in March 2016

Idea Cellular, today, launched its 4G LTE services in 24 towns in Tamil Nadu, including Tirupur. Chennai and Coimbatore would get the service in March 2016.

The, high-speed 4G LTE services have been launched in Hosur, Madurai, Tiruchirapalli, Tirunelveli, Tirupur and others. Cuddalore and Kancheepuram will be connected by end December, while Coimbatore and Chennai by March 2016, a company release said here.

The launch was part of providing 4G services across 75 towns in four telecom service areas of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

The company offers complimentary 4G SIM upgrade, attractive 4G tariffs, and bundled digital content subscription. It has received over a million 4G service requests from existing customers on its Pre-book offer, it said.

The launch of Idea 4G LTE services will further expand Idea’s Wireless Broadband network and propel the brand to an even higher growth trajectory, consolidating its market position, said Idea Cellular Managing Director, Himanshu Kapania, in the release.

Idea customers with 4G devices in these 75 towns can now start experiencing superfast speeds by simply upgrading their existing SIM cards to new 4G SIM cards, the release added.

It was also offering attractive subscription plans to digital content, including a wide range of the latest music and movies, and it has also partnered with leading handset manufacturers and e-commerce retailers for special data bundling offers on 4G smart phones.
