IDP (International Development Program of Australian Universities and Colleges and schools) hosted its one-day long U.K. education fair in the city today for students who are interested in pursuing their higher studies in Britain.
IDP has nearly 50 years experience in sending students for their higher education abroad. Their Coimbatore centre is located on Avinashi Road. The U.K. has become one of the most preferred destinations for students interested in pursuing their UG and PG programmes.
The event brought under one roof several reputed universities like Coventry University, the University of Central Lancashire, Queen’s University Belfast, Anglia Ruskin University, the University of Nottingham, the University of Greenwich, and the University of Westminster among others. Aspiring students interacted with the representatives of these universities. Depending on the students’ interests and inclinations, the representatives counselled the students on the options that were available to them.
“I’m currently doing my final year Visual Communication. I plan to work for one year after which I wish to study in the U.K. I’m planning to specialize in one area for my post-graduation in the U.K. I’m attending this education fair to get an idea about what options are available for me,” Senthil R, a student, said.
Various services like student counselling, admission and application processing, visa processing, and pre-departure assistance were offered to students at the fair. There were also on-the-spot admission submission and assessment for the 2016 intakes.
IDP has a global presence in 32 countries and has partnered with more than 200 leading universities across the world. This educational fair was organized at the Residency Towers on February 23 between 2 pm and 6 pm. Entry was free.
