The government has ordered a departmental inquiry into the incident where two state-owned buses were gutted in fire in TNSTC depot-workshop in Coimbatore yesterday night.

The bus that returned after a technical fault to the workshop in Ukkadam around 8 PM went up in flames. Sparks from this bus had spread to a nearby bus, burning it down too. Fire and rescue personnel arrived at the scene and managed to put off the fire. They managed to stop the fire from spreading to other buses.
