Kalam 2019, a technical and cultural fest to showcase young talents

Sri Sakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology conducted “Kalam 2019”, an inter-collegiate fest for college students to showcase their talent in various Techno and cultural programmes.

About 60 technical competitions and 30 cultural competitions were conducted.

Short film contest was conducted on February 28th. Mr. Mu. Maran, Director of the Aamil action thriller film “Iravukku Aayiram Kangal” was part of the event.

Students presented their short films reinforcing the subjects of sexual abuse on children, road safety, untouchability, and flicks that created awareness on motherhood for transgenders.

Awards for the best short film, editor, director, and cinematographer were awarded to the students.

Various cultural competition western and eastern dance, rural dance, singing, musical instruments, mimicry, mono acting, music band, street theatre, photography and bike stunt show to showcase their inertia is scheduled to be held on March 1st and 2nd.

Dancer Raymond Callanan is invited to be judge for dance competitions.

To celebrate the greatness of Tamil language, and understand its importance in our culture, the Tamil club of Shri Shakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology organized “Agathiyam 19” through which essay competition, debates, quiz, Thirukkural verses recitation, art, and a game on Tamizhodu Vilayadu were conducted.

On March 2nd, culture and entertainment programs are scheduled to be conducted, with music director Santosh Narayan as the Chief Guest.
