Various problems being confronted by the people of
Western Region of Tamil Nadu would be discussed during the one day conference
of Kongunadu Munnetra Kazhakam (KMK) to be held here on February 14 next.
Though a few problems, particularly in Coimbatore and Tirupur
districts, have found solution, the conference will highlight the need to
implement the Avanashi-Athikadavu Water scheme, since some of the areas have become arid,
KMK President, ‘Best’ Ramasamy said today.
Stating that the party continued to support the ruling AIADMK, he
said that this would
continue in the coming Assembly elections also.
The Party would start an enrolment drive and at least 1.5 lakh
members would be added
before the beginning of the conference, Ramasamy said.
Condemning the reported hate speech by Viduthalai Chiruthaigal
Katchi leader, Tol Thirumavalavan degrading the members of other
castes, he said that the campaign by
DMK treasurer, M. K. Stalin was nothing but a publicity stunt.
