Labourer drowns in pond

A 35-year-old man drowned in a pond where he had gone for swimming on Tuesday.
According to sources, Angamuthu, son of Palani, went to the Muthalipalayam Kuttai near Sulur for swimming along with his friends. He was caught in the slush. Though his friends tried to pull him out, Angamuthu, a labourer, drowned.
Following a complaint from his wife, Sulur police registered a case. Angamuthu’s body was sent to CMCH for postmortem.
