B.K. Manjunath has been appointed as the part time Chairman of Lakshmi Vilas Bank for a term of three years., The Bank has informed the stock exchange that subsequent to the approval granted by the Reserve Bank of India, the Board of Directors of the Bank, at their meeting held on June 6 have co-opted Manjunath as additional Director in the category of Non- Executive and Independent Director. He was also appointed as the part-time Chairman of the Bank for a tenure of three years, a bank release said today..

Manjunath is practicing as a Charted Accountant since 25 years, with experience and knowledge in project financing, business administration and management.

He had served as an independent director of the bank from 2008 to 2015, it said.

The Bank, founded in 1926, has a national presence serving over 2 million customer accounts through its 501 branches, seven extension counters and 975 ATMs in 16 States and in Puducherry.
