More than 250 recruits attested into MRC

A total of 259 recruits were attested into Madras Regiment Centre (MRC), the oldest Regiment of Indian Army, at the Shrinagesh Barracks in Wellington on Wednesday.

The recruits after 46 weeks of tough training, could see their dreams come true when they wore olive green and marched past the largest enclosed drill square in Asia, an MRC release said.

The Attestation Parade was reviewed by Defence Service Staff College Commandant Lt. Gen. Amrik Singh, who appreciated the instructors and staff for achieving a very high standard of drill in the Parade .He also lauded the efforts of MRC to improve the standard of training to such a high level, the release said.
