Most fake godmen enjoyed privileges during Congress rule: BJP leader

Covai Post Network

Kottayam: BJP on Sunday asked Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan to be concerned about the Law and Order in his own State instead of worrying over the situation in other States, i.e. in connection with rape convict Gurmeet Ram Raheem.

The governments in the violence infested States have dealt the perpetrators with iron fist, BJP State Chief Kummanam Rajashekharan said in Facebook post.

What has the CPM led left government done to curb violence unleashed by left parties against other parties belonging to Chief Minister’s panchayat?, he queried. Instead of these crocodile’s tears, he should try to set his house in order.

Turning to the Opposition Leader Ramesh Chennithala, he said it was the Congress which had provided Z category security to the godman.

He reminded Chennithala that most of the fake godmen like Bhindranwale and Chandrasamy had enjoyed government hospitality during Congress rule. A record number of people had died due to clashes during the Congress rule, he added.
