Members of the National Health Mission inspected the Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital and reviewed its functioning.
According to sources, the committee – comprising 12 members including Dr. Sabitha, Dr. Sabapathy and Dr.Lakshmanan – visited the CMCH on Thursday and held meeting with the Resident Medical Officer Dr. R. Soundravel.
Speaking to The Covai Post, Dr. Soundravel said the members visited Primary Health Centres, Urban Health Centres, Government Hospitals in the district, before visiting CMCH. They reviewed the functioning of the hospitals and centres and checked the utilisation for various health schemes.
The members will apprise the District Collector and the NHM as a step towards improving better health care facilities in the hospitals.
