This year Navaratri, which means ‘nine nights’ in Sanskrit, will be celebrated at Linga Bhairavi temple, which is a part of Isha Yoga Centre in Velliangiri. Navaratri falls between October 13 and October 21 this year. Every day will be a grand celebration at Linga Bhairavi. This year on all the nine days, artists from across the nation will be performing with or without their troupe. The celebrations are scheduled to take place from 5:45 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the evenings on all nine days.
There will be a fusion dance performance by Anjana Dongre and troupe from Mumbai, Divya Nayar, Chitra Nair and group will be performing Bharatnatyam on two days. While Shyama will be doing a Carnatic vocal performance, Prashanth and Manjunath are expected to sing Hindustani hymns. Entry to the temple and cultural performance of the artistes is free on all days.
