The Indian Navy on Friday conducted a workshop on Life and Career with it at the PSG College of Technology here.

The workshop follows an expo by the Army where it displayed its weaponry recently urging the engineering students and industries to find solutions to the troubles faced by the Army in the field.

Inaugurating the workshop, Rear Admiral N.M. Subramanian Nedunchezhian said that students from the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering had plenty of opportunities to anchor their career with the Indian Navy.

“You have many possibilities from which you can choose from and the Indian Navy will give you all the training you need and help you make the most of your skills and talents,” he said.

He also invited women candidates as there was opportunities in Naval Architect, Law, Logistics, Air Traffic Control, Aviation (Observer) and Education Branches. “The kind of technological advancements the developed companies have are vast. To bring in such developments a large number of engineering graduates should join the armed forces to make our own defence equipment at lower costs.
