New Arts and Science college inaugurated in SP Velumani constituency

The long standing dream of the population in and around Thondamuthur on the outskirts became reality today, when an Arts and College was opened in the area.

State Municipal Administration Minister, S P Velumani inaugurated the college, a constituent of Bharathiar University, for the benefit of the students there, which happens to be his constituency.

In his address, Velumani thanked Chief Minister, Edapadi K Palanisamy for sanctioning two colleges one here and another in Pollachi in the district, which would be set up soon.

The college has five UG courses B.A (English), B.A (Economics), B.Sc.(Maths) B.Com, B.com (CA) and BBA, and is functioning on the premises of Government Boys Higher Secondary School and admission would start from this year itself, he said.
