NGO Jamaat-e-Islami Hind will launch its nationwide campaign to promote peace and brotherhood from August 21 onwards. The campaign will conclude on September 4, and cover Coimbatore too.

“The aim of this campaign is to nurture communal harmony, remove intolerance, and focus our attention towards preventing the evil forces from defaming and degrading the respect of our nation in the international arena,” Mohammed Ameen, Tamil Nadu zonal organizer of the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, said.

Speaking to Covai Post, Mohammed said that, as a part of the campaign, the volunteers of the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind will visit public places in and around Coimbatore. They will interact with the public and spread awareness about peace and communal harmony. He further said that Jamaat-e-Islami Hind will be organizing many events during this campaign, such as symposiums, public meets, street corner meets, short film contests, and essay contests.

As a grand finale, a ‘Peace-Humanity Marathon’ will be organized in Trichy.
