Petrol bomb attack on CPI-M office: Oppn parties stage demo

All major political parties, barring the AIADMK and BJP, today got together in condemning the petrol bomb attack on CPI-M District Office in the early hours, partially damaging an office car and window.

Nearly 200 activists, belonging to CPI-M, CPI, DMK, Congress, MDMK, Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi and SFI staged a demonstration in the city condemning the hurling of petrol bomb at CPI-M office.

They also raised slogans against the RSS and BJP for indulging in violence, “as they failed to face the Left parties politically”.

Holding large banner and red flags, the workers said that they will not be cowed down by such attacks and continue to fight against the communal forces.

Congress District unit President, V.C. Manoharan, DMK District Secretary Muthusamy, CPI District Secretary, M. Arumugam, CPI Secretary, V Ramamurthy, VCK leader, Susi Kalaiyarasan, MDMK Urban Secretary, R R Mohankmar and former CPI-M MP, P.R. Natararajan and several others participated.
