Social activist and People Protection Movement leader, ‘Traffc’ Ramasamy has demanded that the granite case be handed over to the CBI, as suggested by the Sahayam commission.

He also wanted the Madras High Court, which directed and supervised the Sahayam probe, to monitor the probe after handing it over to the CBI.

Replying to a question on the illegal quarrying of red soil and sand on the Western Ghats, he said that he wanted the corruption in the entire state to be probed. He also promised to fight it legally if there were any details on the issues.

He declared that most of the political parties were behind power and not for serving the people, and asked the people to elect honest candidates. “People ca not be fooled always by doling out money or gifts,” he said.
