Ooty: With the advent of second season, the Nilgiris District Administration is preparing the Government Botanical Gardens to attract a large number of tourists.
As part of this, District Collector P Shankar installed 10,000 pots, with 55 types of flowers, including Dahlia, Chrysanthemum, Aster, Salvia, Inca Marigold, French Marigold and Calendula. The major attraction will be 10 types of Chrysanthemum in different shades and also dwarf hybrids, Shankar said.
About three lakh tourists are expected to visit the district during the second season ending October, he said.
