Smriti invited to be chief guest of Resilient Tirupur

Tirupur Exporters’ Association (TEA) today extended an invitation to Union Textile Minister Smriti Irani to be the chief guest of ‘Resilient Tirupur at Tirupur.

A delegation, led by TEA president Raja M. Shanmugham and its general secretary, R. Vijaya Kumar called on Smriti Irani in Delhi today and sought a convenient date so that programme can be arranged accordingly.

Resilient Tirupur is being organised annually since 2012, to uplift the morale and spirit of the exporters and requested the Minister to be the chief guest of this year’s edition and address a large gathering of exporters and stakeholders, Raja Shanmugham said in a release here.

The Minister has promised to come for the programme, he claimed.
