The two-day orientation programme for first-year engineering students of Sri Ramakrishna College concluded yesterday, highlighting the importance of developments in technology and need for inter-disciplinary research.

Principal technology leader and head of Technology Solution and Innovation Centre at L& T Technology Services in Chennai GB Pon Manivannan was the chief guest on the first day. He advised students to be equipped with the latest in technology and digital skills, important in today’s corporate world. They should grab opportunities as and when they come, he added.

Pricol Ltd President G Sundararaman was the chief guest on the second day. He said students should have a thorough knowledge about cutting edge technology. He also distributed prizes to the toppers in different branches.
