All over the world millions of people start their day with yoga and meditation. Recently, Isha Foundation organized half-a-day programme for about 400 participants, all of who lack the ability to speak and hear. A release from the organization stated that the Isha Foundation customized the Isha Upa Yoga practises.
Isha Upa Yoga was launched for International Day of Yoga and currently it is being offered free to all. This is a simple yet powerful system of exercise that activates the joints, muscles, and energy system and this exercise is based on a sophisticated understanding of the body’s mechanics.
The Upa Yoga session was conducted with live demonstration and assisted by sign language experts. At the end of the session many of the participants came up to the teacher and asked question. The queries were conveyed to the teacher thorough the sign language expert.
About 75 delegates and keynote speakers from across the country and the world participated in this event. Volunteers were humbled by the perception and receptivity of these people. The half day session ended with sumptuous meals offered at the Biksha Hall by residents and Brahmacharies of the Isha Yoga Center.
