Tamilisai confident of BJP win in all States but Telangana

Covai Post Network

Coimbatore : Tamil Nadu BJP president, Tamilisai Soundarajan on Saturday exuded confidence of the party winning in all the five States, barring Telangana, where Assembly elections were completed yesterday.

The party has given good corruption-free governance in the States (Chattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan) and sought votes on this count. It would definitely win in these States as also MIzoram, despite the exit polls presenting a different picture, Tamilisai told reporters at the airport here.

She claimed the support to Prime Minister Narendra Modi was increasing.

Tamilisai came down heavily on MDMK general secretary Vaiko saying he had taken advantage by talking divisive politics.

On the comments by CPI leader Mutharasan that lotus (BJP poll symbol) would not bloom in Tamil Nadu, she quipped:
“There is no need to stand heads down. For lotus to bloomit was enough to be honest. The Reds need not bother about saffron. which is ruling in 19 States as against one by Left parties. DMK alliance is very weak and Mutharasan need not worry about BJP alliance.”
