Three city students to attend RD parade camp

Three students from colleges affiliated to Bharathiar University are among the 12 selected from Tamil Nadu, to participate in the Republic Day Parade camp starting in Delhi on Thursday.

P. Keerthivasan of SNR and Sons College, P. Saranya Sri of Dr. N.G.P. College and K. Sangeetha of PSGR Krishnammal College for Women, are the three chosen ones.

The university level preliminary selection process for selecting students to represent the National Service Scheme was held on September 4. Four boys and three girls were selected from among the affiliated colleges of the university. They later attended the South Zone Pre-Republic Day Parade Camp organized at Karnataka Open University, Mysore.

After the camp, 12 students from Tamil Nadu were selected; of which three belong to Bharathiar University. They will be participating in the camp scheduled to be held from January 1 to 20 at Dr. Ambedkar Bhawan, Rani Jansi Road, Paharganj, New Delhi.
