Coimbatore : Tiruppur District, which topped in the Class 12 board exams, came first in Class 10 Board exams in Tamil Nadu by securing 98.53 pass percentage, the results of which were announced Monday.

Of the total 29,153 appeared 28,723 cleared the examinations and of 14,409 boys 14,113 passed and out of 14,744 girls 14,610 passed.

Tirupur topped in Class 12 exams a week ago by scoring 95.37 per cent

The Coimbatore district has scored 96.44 per cent and is ranked 14th in Tamil Nadu, climbing one step from 15th last year, by scoring 95.8 per cent..

Out of total 40,193–20,049 boys and 20,144 girls– appeared, 38,762 cleared the exams, with girls scoring 98.31 per cent and boys 95.46 per cent.

A total of 41 government schools registered 100 per cent against 39 last year, while 195 matric schools recorded 100 per cent pass as against 163 last year
