A traffic awareness campaign was held at Lakshmi Mills signal in City today. The campaign was organised by the team Direction For Volunteers (D4V) along with traffic personnel.

More than 50 members participated in this programme where volunteers gave instructions the traffic rules and regulations and also advised people to wear helmets.

“Most of the accidents happen as a result of traffic rule violations. To create awareness among people in the city, we started a campaign and plan to hold it every weekend, ” said organiser L. Dev Adarsh.

Traffic personnel gave instructions to the volunteers before they started campaign which was well-accepted by people.

“It is our duty to create awareness among people. We focus on volunteers strictly following rules and regulations. They then want to tell their friends, family members and neighbours,” said D4V chief co-ordinator Ashok Raja.
