Two-day gourmet bazaar from August 25

More than 60 participants from various places are expected to participate in the the two-day Gourmet Bazaar that begins here on August 25.

The third edition of the fare would include desserts and savouries, home bakers, speciality breads, artisanal cheese, fine foods, hand crafted and speciality tea, cold pressed juices, forest honey, fresh organic products, gourmet chocolates, ice creams, traditional South and North Indian, Mangalorean, Rajasthani and Parsi food varieties, farm milk, traditional and fusion pickles, preserves, sauces and jams, millet and assorted grain recipes, said a press release from the organisers.

“This edition is a wellness edition and the bazaar will showcase a special range of natural & handmade personal care products and cosmetics,” it added.

The fare, organised by Kanika Khanna, Prema Goenka and Shikha Bagaria, would be held at Whispering Stones complex at Uppilipalayam in the city.

It would also serve a unique mix of cuisines – Vietnamese Bao Buns, Mexican, Mangalorean, Parsi, South Indian and European, gelato and natural ice creams,quiches and assorted finger foods, smoothies, lemonades and juices, pizza, traditional kebabs and parathas and a range of traditional pickles.

“Visitors also get to take home a specially designed grocery bag which they can use to collect their purchases at the bazaar, so as to reduce overall use of plastic. The Gourmet Bazaar provides a sophisticated and fun platform for home bakers, caterers, small businesses, organic producers and speciality cafes to showcase their products, experiment with new recipes and different cuisines while providing the city two days of pure gastronomic delights,” the release added.
